Its a hard choice to try somewhere new when you find a place, lake or park that you fall in love with.

Maps and desicions!

As a family we made a conscious choice years ago to try at least one new park or route each season. It keeps things fresh, gives the kids a sense of exploration, lets us experience new sights, panoramas and environments equally together. Don’t get me wrong, we have found some gems that we would love to revisit year after year but this is a good way to teach the kids to embrace change and discover all that our province has to offer. This year we are trying some crown land camping, this is a far stretch for us as we always book our trips by park, lake and day. We will see where this takes us, we may just fall in love with a new part of Ontario. Either way we will explore and enjoy as a family and that after all is the most important thing!

~Happy exploring, Marian

We’ve been doing a blend of both the past several years. Exploring further out of our comfort ring of 4-5 hours driving. One year an east coast trip, the next Vermont, then after that North Carolina. The past two years up to Lake Superior, while still hitting at least two -three favorites.

Lake Superior is on the short list for next year, glad to hear other like to change it up but still keep a few favorites in the rotation
